Task Arcus is one of Scandinavia’s largest spirits company based in Oslo Norway producing a number of local and international spirits brands. The Company is a core producer of aquavit with brand leader international status for a number of coloured aquavits within their portfolio. The opportunity to market a clear aquavit and target consumers looking for a lighter product were felt to be an area which Arcus needed to develop.
Solution The time frame for this assignment was tight, two weeks from start to finish! A review of the Danish aquavit market, the home of clear aquavit revealed colours and design language that Hammer could tap into. To differentiate from Hammer Gin and to take the learnings from Denmark, red was used as a core colour. The brand architecture from Hammer Gin was followed for brand consistency but there are enough differences across the design for their to be no confusion at point of sale.
